Conference on strengthening Alumni Relations to be held at ISB

A pioneering initiative – ARC India 2014 to bring together global experts to share best practices in alumni relations


The Indian School of Business (ISB) will play host to a conference on strengthening the alumni relations in educational institutions – ‘ARC India 2014’ at its Mohali campus on March 29, 2014. A pioneering initiative, the conference is being organized by FuturEd and is supported by Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Aim of the conference

The aim of the Conference is to bridge the existing knowledge gap in the Indian institutions regarding Alumni Relations Management. It will also help the institutions to define a strategy and calendar for Alumni connection and engagement. By bringing together global experts in the area of alumni relations, the conference will provide a platform for sharing the best practices in the Alumni Relations spaces from all across the globe.

Participation

The conference is expected to witness a notable participation from International and national Alumni Relations professionals to increase awareness about Alumni Relations and how the educational institutions can further invest in their alumni. Some of the confirmed speakers at the conference include Liza Boffen, Director Alumni Relations, George Washington University, Gretchen Dobson, International Alumni Management expert, Jennifer Eliot, Alumni and Advancement Executive for Schools, Professor Khare, Alumni Affairs, IIT Delhi, Professor Veeky, Alumni Affairs, BITS Pilani and Nidhi Reddy, Director Alumni Affairs, ISB. Top Schools and Colleges of North India have registered for the conference already. Besides some IITs, IIMs and other top institutions will also be attending.

The organisers

FuturEd is an education sector consulting and service provider which activates alumni networks of institutions creating a stronger education ecosystem.  Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) ­­is a non-profit, membership association of educational institutions around the world. CASE is supporting this initiative to help increase awareness about the scope of Alumni Relations in India. The ISB’s Alumni Relations office will also be imparting knowledge and extending support on how to engage better with the alumni community. The ISB has a strong network of over 5200 alumni spread across 32 countries. The School has been constantly investing into its alumni over the years by organizing life-long workshops and the alumni have been giving back to the School in the best ways possible.

Top institutions of the world such as Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Wharton and the likes have a name today because we relate to the successful people who graduated from there and are not only creating real impact in the world but are also helping to develop their Alma Mater.
